Poor Dr. Jane looked exhausted when he came by this morning. I guess he had been in emergency surgery half the night. They said that the drain appears to be doing well and that today's main goal is to keep Abby down and get her to eat. She hasn't eaten much in the past 4 or 5 days so they said that it is all about calories today.
To all of you who have been following, helping, praying, and sending gifts....THANK YOU. We are amazed and overwhelmed by the love and generosity is beyond repayable.

- This blog is about our life with Abby. When Abby was 13 months old, she was diagnosed with lipomyelomeningocele or a tethered spinal cord. Our adventure started in February, so if you want to read from the beginning, that is where you should start. While Abby's diagnosis falls under the heading of Spina Bifida, this could not have been prevented by folic acid the way myelomeningocele spina bifida can be.
