After I left to go to the hotel last night (for my first night ever away from Abby) they moved her from the PICU to the regular floor (why they needed to wait until 11 p.m. to do this, I'm not sure). One of the nice things about being moved to the floor is that they don't need to constantly monitor her so the cords all got to come off. She still has her IV in her foot, which I'm assuming might come out today when she tries to walk.
Before I left last night, she was actually asking to walk, so I'm thinking that she is mentally ready for when the physical therapists come in today to work with her.
