While Abby was sedated for her PICC line yesterday, they decided to poke around at her incision area to see if they could find the source of the leaking. They were able to determine that it was coming from the incision itself. So, while she was already sedated for the PICC line, they put another line of stitches down the entire incision. As of this morning...NO LEAKING!! YAY!!
They should have an even better idea of antibiotics this morning. It will take 3 or so days until they can be sure that they are actually working and they won't let us leave until they are positive that Abby is on the mend.
They also let Abby out of the crib and brought in a regular bed for one of us to sleep in with her. This is great because one of us usually lays down with her at night anyway. She rested better and so did we. Hopefully today will be better in that regard since we are all rested a little bit (relative terms here).

In Uncle Michael's words, "Well that sounds like good news. That means no surgery?" I hope it all goes really well, that you all three get some rest, and that they send you back home when the time is appropriate. Until then, rest, blog, whatever it takes to get you through the day. This sounds like good news. Just as Aunt Susan said, you all get some rest because I know you are mentally and physically exhausted. Know that the prayers are working all the time:)
