Going Home!!

We are going home today. Despite me asking him to, Dr. Jane would not make any promises that the incision would not leak. Fingers crossed for the next two weeks that it stays nice and sealed! Also, we have created quite the diva over the past 10 days and we are going to have to hope that Abby will do less throwing of herself when we get home. They did tell us that a mini temper tantrum or two will not do her any harm.

Home health will be there almost as soon as we get home to "admit" us to the program.

Yippee!!! You will do fine taking care of Abby's picc line. Don't let the home health nurses leave until you are 100% comfortable with doing the procedure. Enjoy some good food and your own bed.

We're so glad you'll be sleeping in your own bed and getting your lives back. I know you'll be busy playing doc and nurse to Abby, but it's going to be better than being in the hospital.
You'll do a great job with Abby. Be sure to take care of Eileen and Ken too.

Hurray!!! Please continue to keep us all informed and don't be nervous about the medicine port. It will be easy after the first time, not so easier keeping her down, but hang in there. Will keep you all in our prayers.

Eileen - I am sure that you are really glad to be home and the simple things like your own bed and some non-hospital food.
Ken - i am not sure that tony and my "treats" lasted you the whole time....We will have to get together and re-supply you soon.
