- This blog is about our life with Abby. When Abby was 13 months old, she was diagnosed with lipomyelomeningocele or a tethered spinal cord. Our adventure started in February, so if you want to read from the beginning, that is where you should start. While Abby's diagnosis falls under the heading of Spina Bifida, this could not have been prevented by folic acid the way myelomeningocele spina bifida can be. Thank you so much for sharing the pictures of the Easter egg hunt, Kiersten, Kyle, and Abby. It makes me feel so good to be able to share in their lives in some way, and it's because of you that we are able to do that. Thank you.
Abby continues to be in our prayers. If I'm understanding you correctly, the initial surgery is related to the bladder, not the spinal cord?
Thanks for being so diligent about updating us. You are amazing.
