We are home. Abby did well through the MRI. When we arrived this morning, we got her checked in and waited. The anesthesiologist took us back and they put this little mask one her and let her breathe in the gas. Anyone who knows Abby knows that she does not take to being restrained very well. Eventually she fought herself into a sleep and Ken and I cried and left the room after giving her a big kiss. They told us that they should be done in about an hour with 40 minutes of that being in the tube. As 60 minutes passed and we heard nothing we were starting to panic. They came out about 20 minutes later and told us that all was well and that the MRI took longer than expected. They took us back to be with her as the anesthetic was wearing off. The only uncomfortable part to all of this was 3 nursing students watching all of this. Here I am rocking my daughter out of this deep sleep and there are five other adults staring at me. They sent us home with Abby still mostly asleep which of course worried me, but by the time we got home she was nice and awake. She still has jello legs at this point so she can't go scurrying around like she wants to.
We were really hoping to hear some results today, but Dr. Russell is out today. Hopefully Monday morning we'll know what is going on. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. We really appreciate them!

Well, we're glad you're home safe and sound. I know that helpless feeling as your child is getting anesthetized. Please keep us posted if you hear anything, and give Abby a big hug from me. :)
