Watch that last step!

Well I completely missed the last step going out to Mom and Dad's garage and fell landing on my ankle/butt/side. I was sure not to land on my belly, thank goodness! I really thought that all was well right away, and I tried to ignore the pop that I felt in my ankle, but the morning told a different story. By 4 a.m. the ankle was black and blue and pretty swollen into the foot. I decided a trip to urgent care would be the easiest solution. Turns out when you tell the urgent care that you are 37 weeks pregnant, they want nothing to do with you, so off to the ER I went. Luckily, they were very slow and got me right back. The doctor was able to identify the fact that I had ripped one of the ligaments without an x-ray. A splint and crutches were handed out and off to labor and delivery we went to be monitored. Abby was moving up a storm on the monitors and after about 45 minutes they took us to get an ultrasound. They did a complete workup on this little girl and said that everything looked great. They couldn't get any good shots of her face because she is engaged that far down into my pelvis. Maybe there is an end in sight. They are estimating her weight to be about 7 lbs right now--give or take a pound. I was also having contractions on the monitor, but nothing to get too excited about yet. Ken's guess is Dec. 6th at 7 p.m. We'll see!
